Kawasaki Disease Criteria

Encodes the AHA 2017 criteria: fever ≥ 5 days plus four or more of five principal clinical features. Captures incomplete Kawasaki disease where 2–3 features prompt further evaluation with echocardiography and inflammatory markers.

Fever ≥ 5 days (or fever and IVIG started before day 5 with classic features)

Bilateral non-exudative conjunctival injection

Oral changes (red lips, strawberry tongue, pharyngeal injection)

Cervical lymphadenopathy ≥ 1.5 cm (usually unilateral)

Polymorphous rash

Extremity changes (erythema/edema acutely; periungual peeling subacutely)
