Ottawa Knee Rule

Identifies patients with acute knee injuries who require radiography. Highly sensitive (~98–100%) for clinically important fractures.

Age ≥ 55 years

Isolated tenderness of the patella

Tenderness at the head of the fibula

Inability to flex knee to 90°

Inability to bear weight (4 steps) both immediately and in ED
