Mechanism
Consists of antibodies produced in horses immunized with botulinum toxoids (inactivated toxins) and toxins. The antibodies are type-specific and neutralize circulating botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT), preventing the progression of paralysis but not reversing existing paralysis.
