Mechanism
ChAdOx1/AZD1222 contains a safe adenovirus vector with dsDNA encoding the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. Once injected, the adenovirus delivers the dsDNA to antigen-presenting cells (APCs), which then express spike proteins, leading to an immune response.
