Mechanism
Collagenase is a proteolytic enzyme derived from the fermentation of Clostridium histolyticum. It has the ability to break down collagen.
Indications
Dupuytren’s contracture in patients with a palpable cord (specialist use only)contracture of a metacarpophalangeal joint or proximal interphalangeal joint
Dosing
- Adult
- 580 micrograms, then 580 micrograms every 4 weeks if required, inject into palpable cord, by intralesional injection.
