Mechanism
Dexrabeprazole is the active dextro-isomer of rabeprazole that inhibits the H+K+ATPase enzyme, producing acid suppression similar to rabeprazole at half the dose.
Indications
Peptic ulcerGastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Dosing
- Adult
- Administered orally in enteric coated form. Take in empty stomach, followed 1 hour later by a meal. For general use: 10–20 mg daily.
