Mechanism
Ibalizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that binds to the CD4 extracellular domain 2, causing steric hindrance of a conformational change in the gp120-CD4 complex necessary for HIV fusion and entry. It does not inhibit gp120 attachment to CD4.
