Mechanism
Japanese encephalitis (JE) virus vaccines are inactivated vaccines that induce immunity to prevent JE, a serious mosquito-borne flavivirus infection that can cause neurological sequelae and death.
Indications
prevention of Japanese encephalitis for travelers spending a month or longer in rural parts of Korea, Japan, China, and eastern areas of Russia
Dosing
- Adult
- JE-VC for persons aged 17 years or older
- Pediatric
- JE-MB for use in travelers aged 1 year or older
