Mechanism

NVX-CoV2373 contains nanoparticles coated with synthetic spike proteins. Once injected with adjuvant, these particles are taken up by antigen-presenting cells (APCs) which present the spike proteins, resulting in an immune response.

prevention of severe or fatal COVID-19

Dosing

Adult: injected in two doses 21 days apart
