Mechanism
Oxethazaine is a potent topical anaesthetic that ionizes to a very small extent even at low pH values. This property allows it to effectively anaesthetise gastric mucosa despite the acidity of the medium.
Indications

Dosing
- Adult
- 5–10 ml orally (0.2% suspension); maximum 100 mg/day.
