Mechanism

Ritodrine is a beta2-selective adrenergic agonist. It stimulates beta2 adrenergic receptors, leading to relaxation of uterine smooth muscle.

Dosing

Adult
hypotension; 15–60 mg TDS.. chronotropic effect on heart. Vasoconstriction (α EPHEDRINE HCl 15, 30 mg tab; SULFIDRIN 50 mg in. 1 1 ml inj, in ENDRINE 0.75% nasal drops.. i.v. infusion (0.2–1 mg/min) which is regulated. DOPAMINE, INTROPIN, DOPACARD 200 mg in 5 ml amp.
