Mechanism
Sincalide is the C-terminal octapeptide of cholecystokinin (CCK). CCK is a hormone that delays gastric emptying, causes gallbladder contraction, stimulates pancreatic enzyme secretion, increases intestinal motility, and promotes satiety.
