Mechanism
Tesamorelin is a synthetic N-terminally modified form of human GHRH that is resistant to degradation by dipeptidyl peptidase 4. Although it increases GH and IGF-1 levels, its clinical effects are primarily to reduce visceral fat accumulation, with minimal effects on insulin resistance.
