Mechanism

Amoxapine primarily inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine and to a lesser extent, serotonin, thereby increasing their concentrations in the synaptic cleft. Additionally, it acts as an antagonist at 5HT2A and 5HT2C serotonin receptors.
