Mechanism

Deutetrabenazine is a VMAT2 inhibitor, which effectively lowers the vesicular storage and release of dopamine.

Dosing

Adult
Twice daily. Titration: 6 mg/week from starting dose of 6 mg twice daily to effective dosage range of 24–48 mg/day.
