Neuromuscular Blocker
Doxacurium is a nondepolarizing (competitive) neuromuscular blocking agent. It acts at the end plate of skeletal muscle fibers where it competitively blocks acetylcholine receptors, thereby inhibiting neuromuscular transmission and causing muscle relaxation. It is noted for being more selective in terms of not causing significant ganglionic blockade compared to older agents.
