Mechanism
Follitropin beta is recombinant human FSH, produced by expressing cDNAs in mammalian cell lines, with a glycosylation pattern mimicking native FSH. It stimulates the growth of developing ovarian follicles, induces LH receptors, and regulates aromatase in women. In men, it acts on Sertoli cells to stimulate sperm maturation.
