Mechanism

Oxaprozin is a nonselective COX inhibitor with effects and side effects common to other NSAIDs. It has a slow onset of action.

Dosing

Adult
600–1200 mg daily (maximum 1800 mg).
Pediatric
Children >21 kg: 600–1200 mg daily based on weight (maximum 1200 mg).
Geriatric
Dose adjusted based on weight.
