Mechanism
Tenofovir is a nucleotide analogue of adenosine monophosphate with activity against both retroviruses and hepadnaviruses. Tenofovir alafenamide is a prodrug form that potently inhibits HBV replication by acting as a chain terminator of nascently replicating DNA.
