Mechanism
Tezacaftor is a CFTR corrector. It enhances trafficking and insertion of mutant CFTR proteins into the plasma membrane.
Indications
Cystic fibrosis (in patients homozygous or heterozygous for the common deletion mutation, CFTR-p.F508del, often in combination with potentiators)CF with F508del mutation (in combination)CF encoding at least one F508del variant (in combination with ivacaftor and elexacaftor)Numerous less common CF mutations (in combination with ivacaftor and elexacaftor)
