Low-molecular-weight heparin · Anticoagulant
Low-molecular-weight heparins bind to antithrombin and accelerate the rate at which it inhibits various coagulation proteases, particularly factor Xa. At least half of the molecules are too short to provide bridging function and have no effect on the rate of thrombin inhibition by antithrombin.
