Mechanism
A tetravalent vaccine that contains A, C, Y, and W-135 subtypes, providing type-specific anticapsular polysaccharide antibodies for protection against Neisseria meningitidis.
Indications
prevention of invasive bacterial disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis, including sepsis and meningitis
Dosing
- Pediatric
- 11- to 12-year-old individuals should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine, with a booster dose at 16 years old
