Mechanism
The vaccine contains purified Vi capsular antigen of S. typhi. It induces an immune response against S. typhi.
Indications
Protection against S. typhi
Dosing
- Adult
- Single 0.5 ml s.c./i.m. dose; repeat after 3 years.
- Pediatric
- Single 0.5 ml s.c./i.m. dose; repeat after 3 years. Not approved for children below 2 years.
