Mechanism

Brodalumab is a monoclonal antibody that inhibits the activity of interleukin-17RA. It specifically blocks IL-17 by binding to the IL-17 receptor itself, thereby preventing IL-17 from binding to its receptor.

Indications

Moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in patients who are candidates for systemic therapypatients aged 6 years or older with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy

Dosing

  • Concurrent live vaccines
  • Active or previous TB infection (patients should be evaluated prior to treatment)
