Mechanism
Calcium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate act as antacids, neutralizing stomach acid. Sodium alginate forms a protective raft on the surface of gastric contents, preventing reflux into the esophagus and reducing symptoms of heartburn.
Indications

Dosing
- Adult
- 10–20 mL, to be taken after meals and at bedtime
- Pediatric
- Child 6–11 years: 5–10 mL, to be taken after meals and at bedtime; Child 12–17 years: 10–20 mL, to be taken after meals and at bedtime
