Mechanism

Cetrorelix is a luteinising hormone releasing hormone antagonist. It works by inhibiting the release of gonadotrophins, namely luteinising hormone and follicle stimulating hormone, which are essential for ovulation.

Dosing

Adult
By subcutaneous injection: 250 micrograms once daily, administered in the morning, starting on day 5 or 6 of ovarian stimulation with gonadotrophins (or each evening starting on day 5 of ovarian stimulation). Continue throughout administration of gonadotrophin including day of ovulation induction (or evening before ovulation induction).…
