Mechanism

Gonadorelin is an endogenous gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH). It directly stimulates the anterior pituitary gland to release gonadotrophins, specifically luteinising hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). This mechanism is utilized to assess pituitary function.

Dosing

Adult
100 micrograms for 1 dose by subcutaneous or intravenous injection for assessment of pituitary function.
