Dosing

Adult
For hypercalcemia, an intravenous infusion of 60 to 90 mg over 4 to 24 h. For prevention of bone loss in breast cancer and multiple myeloma, an intravenous infusion of 60 to 90 mg over 2 to 24 h.

Contraindications

  • Gastroesophageal reflux
  • Peptic ulcer
  • Renal impairment (general BPN contraindications)
