Mechanism

Inhibits the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, reducing ventricular remodeling.

Indications

STEMI patients who are intolerant of ACE inhibitors and have either clinical or radiologic signs of heart failurePatients with an ejection fraction <40%, regardless of HFLong-term prevention of ventricular remodeling and recurrent ischemic events
