Triazolam antagonizes some actions of Platelet Activating Factor (PAF). PAF is a potent mediator involved in inflammation, increasing vascular permeability, causing vasodilatation and bronchoconstriction. By blocking PAF receptors, Triazolam may mitigate these effects, which are implicated in various pathological states such as bronchial asthma and anaphylactic shock.
