Mechanism

Alclometasone dipropionate is a moderate-potency topical corticosteroid that acts by binding to glucocorticoid receptors. This binding modulates the transcription of various genes, leading to reduced synthesis of inflammatory mediators. The overall effect is a decrease in inflammation, vasoconstriction, and immunosuppression, which alleviates symptoms of inflammatory skin disorders.
