Drug interactions

Tretinoin
Moderate
Database

Concurrent use of topical tretinoin and salicylic acid can lead to increased skin irritation, dryness, redness, and peeling.

Use with caution. If both are necessary, consider alternating application times (e.g., tretinoin at night, salicylic acid in the morning) or reducing the frequency of one or both agents. Monitor for excessive irritation and adjust accordingly.
